Add an Amazon S3 connection
You can add a connection to the Amazon S3 file system using ThoughtSpot DataFlow.
Follow these steps:
- 
Select Connections in the top navigation bar. 
- 
In the Connections interface, select Add connection in the upper-right corner. 
- 
In the Create Connection interface, select the Connection type. 
- 
After you select the Amazon S3 Connection type, the rest of the connection properties appear. See Connection properties for details, defaults, and examples. - Connection name
- 
Name your connection. 
- Connection type
- 
Choose the Amazon S3 connection type. 
- Amazon S3 URL
- 
Specify the Amazon S3 hostname link. 
- Other S3-compatible object store
- 
Enable this option to support for non-AWS S3 storage. 
- Region
- 
Specify the location on the globe. Option appears when you select "Other S3-compatible object store." 
- Bucket
- 
Specify the bucket. 
 An Amazon S3 bucket name is globally unique, and the namespace is shared by all AWS accounts.
- Folder
- 
Give the storage folder details. Optional field. 
- Authentication type
- 
Specify the type of security protocol to connect to the instance. 
- Authentication type
- 
Specifies the type of security protocol to connect to the instance. 
- Access key
- 
Specify the access key ID generated when creating AWS security credentials. 
- Secret key
- 
Specify the secret access key generated when creating AWS security credentials. 
 
- 
Select Create connection.
