Deploying ThoughtSpot on your own OS
Run ThoughtSpot on an Amazon Linux 2 (AL2), RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), or Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) image that your organization manages internally.
Deploying ThoughtSpot on your own OS enables your organization to manage the OS and perform SysAdmin tasks.
Supported platforms
ThoughtSpot certifies AL2, RHEL, and OEL on the following platforms and versions:

RHEL supported platforms and versions
ThoughtSpot supports RHEL 7.8, 7.9, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4, 8.5, 8.6, 8.7, and 8.8.
ThoughtSpot certifies RHEL 7.8 and 7.9 on the following platforms:

Bare metal deployments on the two ThoughtSpot-certified hardware appliances: DELL and SMC

Cloud deployments: Amazon Web Services (AWS) EC2, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
ThoughtSpot certifies RHEL 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4, 8.5, 8.6, 8.7, and 8.8 on the following platforms:

Bare metal deployments on the ThoughtSpot-certified hardware appliance: SMC

ThoughtSpot does not certify RHEL 8 versions on Dell.

OEL supported platforms and versions
ThoughtSpot supports OEL 7.9. As a customer-managed operating system, ThoughtSpot also supports OEL 8.8.
