Add a SAS connection
You can add a connection to the SAS database using ThoughtSpot DataFlow.
Follow these steps:
- 
Select Connections in the top navigation bar. 
- 
In the Connections interface, select Add connection in the upper-right corner. 
- 
In the Create Connection interface, select the Connection type. 
- 
After you select the SAS Connection type, the rest of the connection properties appear. See Connection properties for details, defaults, and examples. - Connection name
- 
Name your connection. 
- Connection type
- 
Choose the SAS connection type. 
- Host
- 
Specify the hostname or the IP address of the system. 
- Port
- 
Specify the port associated with the system. 
- User
- 
Specify the user who connects to the system. This user must have data access privileges. 
- Password
- 
Specify the password for the User. 
- Server type
- 
Specify the type of server to connect. 
- Ref name
- 
Specify the reference name given to recognize the server. 
- Path
- 
Specify the path which is generated by server. 
- Version
- 
Specify the SAS version being connected to. 
 
- 
Select Create connection.
