Translation of Answers and Liveboards
If you want to control which language text in your Liveboards or Answers appears, you can choose to use AI auto-translation, or to manually translate by uploading CSV files for the specified Liveboards and Answers.
- Auto-translation
-
Translations are matched with the locale chosen in the user profile. Although AI translation is GA, it must be enabled by your administrator to work on your instance.
- Manual translation
-
To take more control over how ThoughtSpot translates content for users in other locales, you can manually upload a CSV containing translations of terms and labels in Liveboards and Answers. These translated terms appear in ThoughtSpot automatically when a user in the defined locale language opens the Liveboard or Answer.
We highly recommend that you register for the free Creating and Editing Liveboards course in ThoughtSpot University that covers the information in this article, and watch the Auto-Translation of Answers and Liveboards lesson.
